Networking Women in the East of England have launched a new website, covering Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Luton. It is hoped the initiative will support women across the region with access to information and networking on-line.
The project was made possible with assistance from Suffolk County Council’s Communications Team, using SilverStripe, an open source web content management system. The new website is a fully featured one which allows information to be shared publicly or with other Services in the region as appropriate.
Karen Elliott, who is the NWFS regional representative and based with Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, said “this is an amazing resource, which has kindly been made available to us. It will make a huge difference to our capacity to connect with local communities and each other, and will open up new opportunities for joined up working with other agencies.”
